Nature... granit, wood and water
During a walk it is worth taking the effort to ascend and lose yourself in the rich scent of the fir trees : the breathtaking beauty of a landscape rewards you at the end of the past.
The undulating landscapes are soothing and always different. On the paths, the Club Vosgien markers will take you to Moyemont, the Balconies of Mettey or Solem, to Chèvre Roche, to the mountain passes of Fouchure, Menufosse, Sapois, Cheneau or des Hayes.

The
granit, as well as the water, creates beautiful places : the waterfalls
of the Pissoire, the Bouchot, Battion, Creusegoutte, the Gorges of
Crosery, the lakes and the numerous fountains.
Some humid and marshy zones host peat bogs. Like elsewhere in the Hautes-Vosges this natural heritage, 10.000 years old, merits respect and care. It is recommended to discover it with a guide who knows all about its history. They will also talk about the specific flora : drosera (small carniverous plant), cranberries and linaigrette. Other places also serve for family walks : the Wolf's Cave, the Piquante Pierre, the Rocks of St-Jacques, the Rock of Ducs, the Rocks of Mortevieilles and even the Wolf's Bedroom. |
